Portrait is Mariah Carey's new release

Mariah Carey released today, May 24th, an EP of Portrait, originally from her album Caution, 2018. The release came after she launched of the audiobook Portrait of a Portrait from the Words + Music series on Audible, a platform owned by Amazon.

In the series Mariah Carey showed behind-the-scenes details of the production, creation and musical composition project The Butterfly Lounge and delved deeper into the lyrics of Portrait and its context, surprising everyone with rawer vocals between her lines and excerpts from the song, in addition to presenting a version remixed called Hopeful Child Remix which, like the main track, was written and produced by Mariah Carey and her musical director Daniel Moore II.

The EP contains four tracks, being three versions of the remix and the original one of Portrait. It was released worldwide on digital platforms for streaming and on iTunes for digital download where it has already reached the top of the R&B EPs chart.
